"Telestron" is a ballet between two KUKA robots holding a geometry and moving light, created by VT Pro Design in collaboration with director GMUNK and sound designer Keith Ruggiero. It premiered at Day For Night, a unique art and music festival which took place in Houston, Texas on December 14-17, 2017. I joined the VT Production Design team in August 2017 as a design assistant for this project, and assisted in building and running the installation on festival days. Thank you to the amazing team at VT Pro for letting me join in on this incredible journey.
Roles as a design assistant in this project included helping to create the design of the geometry, visualizing the venue space, learning how to animate the KUKA robot using Maya, designing the sound of its ambient state, and assisting the building of the installation on site before and during the festival.
